Sizzix Embossed

These cards have been popping up all over the web.  You basically design your card background and then run it through your Big Shot using a textured embossing folder.  Then you place your design on top of the embossed card. The first sample of this was designed by my up-up-upline Susan Legits.  In the second picture I designed the card on the left and my upline Tammy Fite designed the one on the right.  Check out another sample of hers here .  It uses the butterfly punch.

Daisy Magnets

I saw this idea online somewhere.  I really should learn to write down where I find ideas.  Usually by the time I get around to doing them I've misplaced where I got the idea from. I've been playing with my Big Shot a lot lately.  I was looking at the recycle pile at work and thought I could do something really fun with the cans.  So I decided to make Daisy magnets out of them.   I think they turned out great.  What do you think!!!

 

The magnet on the left is made out of FANTA soda cans.  The one in the middle is Dr. Pepper cans and the one on the right is Arizona Ice Tea cans.

Flower Folds Sizzix Die.

I really love how versatile this Sizzix die is.  It comes with four different flowers.  I used it to make a candle holder and the pins you see below. This picture kind of  gives you the approximate sizes of the flowers from the die.

INSTRUCTIONS:This was made using roof flashing.  You can buy a 6" x 50 ft roll of the stuff at any home improvement store.  I used my flower folds die and cut out the 3 largest flowers.  I then ran those through my embossing folder for some texture.  Next I took a Real Red re-inker and some rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball and rubbed over metal to color it a little.  Sealed with a clear acrylic spay so the color wouldn't come off.

These were ALSO made using the flower folds die. This time we only used the 2 smallest flowers to make these pins  The top one I made at a class at my friend Anne's. It uses all cotton fabric.  The bottom 2 use upholstery fabric and  have a little more dimension and body to them. IF you're gonna make these use the upholstery fabric if you have the choice. It works so much better. OH yeah be careful with glue guns.  I have a big nasty blister to prove I wasn't careful.

Big Shot Baskets

At Stamp Camp today we each gave the customers who attended a thank you gift for coming!  Normally we put candy out on the tables! This time we made them little goodie bags with candy in them, to help them get through the 30 cards they'll be making!  These were the baskets I made my customers!!!

I used: Holiday Treasures DSP and the SU! Exclusive Basket Die that we now sell!!! I added some pink taffeta ribbon to tie the tags, filled with candy and gum, and we have cute little baskets to get them through the morning!!!

Sizzix Die Cut...Christmas Cards

 

This was a card inspired by something I saw on www.pattystamps.com.  I used Holiday Treasures DSP and the matching colored CS. This particular card uses 3 different die cuts.  I also tied a 14" burgundy grosgrain ribbon around the card. EMail me if you have any questions!!!

Sizzix SnowFlake Card

This is one of our cards at an upcoming Christmas Card Stamp Camp!  Customers will get to make 30 cards (5 each of 6 designs) for $45 w/ lunch!! If you live in Albuquerque area of New Mexico you're welcome to join us. I need to know by Saturday Sept 6th if you'd like to come!!! 

This card uses 2 of the new Sizzix dies that Stampin Up sells!! The JOY word comes on a long chain with love,peace,and cheer!  I just cut out the word I wanted!! The snowflake is the #2 Snowflake die!!  Cardstock used was Baja Breez(for the strip)  Night of Navy(for the actual card) and whisper white(for snowflake and word). I used the Snow Swirled Stamp Set and the Snow Burst Stamp Sets.

I used the medium star/snowflake from the SnowSwirled set and stamped Night of Navy ink onto Baja Cardstock and punched out with the SNOW BLOSSOM punch!!!

The background on the Night of Navy CS is stamped with the smaller snowflakes in the Snow Burst set.   The light flakes are Stazon White Ink and the darker flakes are Craft white ink.

AFTER CAMP IS OVER I'll POST THE OTHER CARDS WE DID!  SO CHECK BACK AFTER SEPT. 20TH TO SEE MORE!!!!
