Advertising to GO!!!!

 

A year ago I was in a car accident that totaled my car (See Feb 2009 post) and I was devastated to lose the advertising that was on my back windshield.  So when SU! came out with their logo decal I had to have it. That was 3 months ago and I just last weekend got around to putting it on my car.  My friend Tina helped me with the  www.stampinintheson.com part of this advertising. We used her Cricut to cut out the letters on the Decor Elements Vinyl Sheets(#114335) we sell. There are many colors that the sheets come in but I chose white to be the most visible.

Used:  Cricut  Doodle(something??) cartridge   The www and com were 2.5 inches upper case. The S - I - T - S were 2.75 inches upper case. The rest of the letters were 2.5 inches lowerecase.  The dots were 3/4" sun shape. We used pressure 2 so that we didn't cut through the sheet of vinyl.

Baby Shower Gift ...Part 2

So we've all seen the Baby Paint can I made a few posts down. Hopefully today is the day I get to give my friend Jessica her baby shower gifts.  Awhile back I was in Michael's and saw some 3.25x 3.25 wooden blocks.  I wanted to make a Merry Christmas Banner out of these for my fireplace mantle a few months ago but Michael's only had 4 blocks. I've been waiting for the last 4 months for them to replenish the supply but they never did.  I thought about doing this gift and just spelling out JOSH. My husband Mark told me that if I wasn't sure what he was going to be called the mom might take offense at abbreviating his name. So off I went in search of more wood blocks. I couldn't find them online and of course none of my local craft stores had anything close.  HOME DEPOT to the rescue.  I took the craft store cube into HD and showed it to them. We found a piece of 4x4 wood in their clearance bin($0.51) and it was only $0.25  to cut into 8 cubes for me.   Here is what resulted!!!

My Portable Advertising!!!

I'm so excited!!! My decor elements and my www.stampinintheson.com vinyl arrived today. I'm gonna go put it on my car, because this week is the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta and since I'm going to be crewing all week what's better than advertising while I'm parked!!!    

The "create" word above is from Stampin Up's new home decor line called Decor Elements!! The www.stampinintheson.com was done professionally!  The letters are 4" inches tall!  Since SU! now sells the vinyl in sheets of 12x24 if I ever need to redo this I'll use a font on my computer, trace it onto the vinyl sheet and then cut it out!!!  Wish we had sold the undesigned sheets before I had mine done professionally!!!!

DoorPrize Glass Jar

I used this jar on Tuesday night at my open house to hold my doorprizes in!! We saw this done at convention with the spooky spider decor element that is in in my previous post!  I thought this would be a good door prize jar instead!  My customer loved it(or maybe it was the doorprizes)!!  Jar can be purchased at Walmart for $13.

Spooky Spider

My friend Leslie Banks (her link is in the right column on this page) was thinking of doing this idea! We saw something similiar on a glass jar at Convention! She wanted to use a pail instead!! I thought it was a great idea so I CASED it from her!!!! Hope that was ok Leslie!!!!

Now I have a pail I can put my Halloween treats in for the kiddos every year!!!! SPooky word and giant spider will be coming to a demonstrator near you this fall! The bucket I got at Home Depot! Orange craft paint at Walmart! Ribbon and smaller spiders can be found at Michael's

Decor Elements

I REALLY REALLY LOVE the new Decor Elements Line by Stampin Up!!!  I got to play this weekend with a bunch of the different elements to decorate my house!  I wanted it ready for my open house Tuesday night!!  Here is the frst thing I decorated!  My front door!! I think it turned out really well!!! When we bought my house in 1999 we put up a sign that said do not disturb before 4pm with a skull and crossbones picture. The reason we did this was because we worked nights and everyone in the world would knock or ring the doorbell!! I took the sign off my door  when hubbie lost his job last Aug!! The tape was still on the door and was a pain to get off!! I thought it would be easy just to put the frame and monogram up!  NO!!!! I had to scrape off the masking tape with a razor blad cause even UNDU didn't work!! I then had to repaint my front door as well!! All so I could make my monogram pretty!!!!   So anyone have pics they want to share of their Decor Elements!!!!
