I'm Bummed Out!!!

Since I didn't win the Klove Balloon Fiesta deign contest I think I'll show you my contest entry.  I designed these with My Digital Studio and thought they were great. Evidently they were only great in my own mind!!  Oh well.   We live here so we'll get to go anyways.

This was the image my mom came up with using MDS. Of course someone made a cupcake out of fabric  for an entry on the same day this one was submitted.

Have you ever seen...

"FRIENDS" the tv show.  We watch the complete series evey few months.  Well back on July 20th we lost our "Stinker" of 17yrs.  She was a kitty up until the last 2 weeks of her life when she was suffering from a leg injury. It just took everything out of her. 

                  

Anyhow... the very next day we went to the shelter to pick out a new kitty. We'd been planning this for a couple months already and we had a hard time choosing.  We did ROCK-PAPER-SCISSORS to pick the new cat and my hubbie Mark did WATERBALLOON.  For those of you who haven't seen "FRIENDS" Joey does fire which beats everything and then Phoebe does waterballoon which puts out fire and that trumps even ROCK.  Hence we wound up with these adorable kitties.

18 yrs ago...

today I met the love of my life and 16 yrs ago today I married him.  This is the two of us after road tripping on the Harley from Rio Rancho, NM to Las Vegas, NV.  Isn't he just...(dreamy -wonderful -studly)!!!!

Freebies!!!!

Who doesn't like FREE stuff.  We got everything in this picture for FREE just for attending convention this year.

We get a bag at convention every year.  This one was the pumpkin pie circle messenger bag.  It had inside 3 stamp sets and 1 wheel.  We also got a pen and a pin with this years theme on it. The stamp set, paper, ink-pad and chunky glitter are from the upcoming holiday mini catalog. We got these at the closing session of convention.  The extra stamp at the bottom is one I got as a prize for committing to recruit 1 person by Aug 31st.  Have I convinced you to join my team yet.  Email me at: [email protected].. Lunchtime!!!! Yum

We always have such a good time at convention and I seem to always be the one behind the camera.  This year a few shots of me were captured. This was one we took at lunchtime.  The lady with me in Susan Legits and she is my up-up-upline.  Think of it like a great grandmother. I'm in Susan's 3rd level.

Caught in the ACT!!!!

Every year at convention I hold our spot for the general sessions by holding up a big yellow umbrella with tulips on it so our gotStamps groups can find us.  This year during one of the general sessions we were there fairly early.  Before the general sessions starts Stampin Up plays a lot of upbeat music.  Here I was dancing to Shania Twains "Feel like a Women" (???) I was bouncing up and down and twirling my umbrella and my act got caught on the big screen for all 2800+ to see.

Game Show Qualifiying!!!

Every year at convention Stampin Up has a game show that allow demonstrators to compete for fun prizes and Stampin Up catalog shopping sprees. Who wouldn't wanna play. Usually the game contestants are randomly selected from convention attendees. This year we had to qualify to play.  In the past we've played: Win,Lose or Draw - Family Feud and games like that.  This year it was SU's very own version of Minute to Win It.  Here me and my friend Karen are trying to qualify by stacking cups in under a minute.!!! The SU rep who was qualifying me told me my time was the 2nd fastest he'd seen all night!!! ;o) Unfortunately, I wasn't fast enough to qualify, but it was a lot of fun trying.!!!
