Sept 8th Workshop!!! Part 1

Back on Sept 8th my good friend Becky held a workshop for me!! We had a lot of fun playing with stuff in the Holiday Mini catalog!!!  Here is one of the projects I showed them that night!!! Check back on Saturday for the other 2.

PROJECT 1   I'm calling this a Shutter Card.  My friend and fellow demo Karen Kurz showed me how to make this a couple months ago!!   We used the camera stamp from last years catalog and it truly was a shutter card!!! 

INGREDIENTS

CARDSTOCK: Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive   DSP: Into the Woods (pg 43 Holiday Mini)  SET: A Corny Thank You(pg 45 Holiday Mini)    PUNCH Acorn Builder(pg 45 Holiday Mini)    INK: Early Espresso and Choc Chip  RIBBON: 3/8 Cotton Ribbon(pg 43 Holiday Mini)  EF: Woodland(pg 39 Holiday Mini)

 Here is another sample using the same technique!!!

Knitting with Rose!!!

So this is the present from our Christmas party that sparked a group of dedicated stampers to delve into the world of knitting!!!

A group of us got together at Jason's Deli to try our hand at making a scarf!!!

 It's a good thing I got the scarf as a gift!!! After 3 hours this was all I had accomplished...    

                  

and I only got this far because my friend Rose probably did about half of this!!!  I was going to document my progress as I went, Glad I got this picture, because on the way home my bag fell off the car seat and the needle slipped out and I lost everything. Oh well!! If I get ambitious I may you tube it and start over!!!

Nacho Christmas Party!!!!

It all started on Feb 1st... The Nacho Average Stampers finally had our group Christmas party. The last couple of years we've had the party after Christmas because things popped up and we had to postpone!! You know how life gets during the holidays, right!!   Here are a few of the gifts that we exchanged and the ladies who designed them!!!( CHECK BACK Monday for the conclusion to my story)

gotStamps group meeting!!

I attended a gotStamps group meeting last Sunday.  We always have a lot of fun and learn lots of stuff!! This weekend we helped my upline make invitations for her 25th wedding anniversary.

Busy Busy Busy!!!

Last weekend was super busy! I attended a Crop for Cancer on Friday night, put on by a couple of my customers!  This is the second annual Crop for Cancer they've done.This year she had 18 attendees registered!!  This beautiful piece greeted up at the registration table!! I think it was made using the Cricut, but it wouldn't be to hard to do something similiar using the Big Shhot and some of our flower dies. I may have to give it a try someday soon!!

Me Myself and I

Yesterday I got to spend the morning with my fellow nacho stampers!!!  Talk about relieving stress.  I SO needed it!!  My upline held her 1st ever DIVA DAY!! We earned this stamping morning by hitting different goals throughout the first 1/2 of this year   It's always such a blast to stamp with these fun ladies. In the next few days I'll be posting the fun projects we made. STAY TUNED!!!!! After spending the morning with these lovely ladies I then went and sat at Barnes and Noble and read a whole book!! It was so nice to be out and about not having to do anything. I haven't done that in so long.

RETIRED LISTS!!!

Every year SU!  retires stamp sets and accessories.  This year the lists were HUGE!! Hopefully that means some new awesome stuff is coming.  I know all the Sneak Peek items have been awesome so far so I'm really looking forward to June 1st.
