STAMPIN in the SON !!!!!

6x6 Recipe Swap.

At one of our group meetings we got together and did a recipe swap.  We brought the dish that we scrapbooked the recipe for and then we exchanged 6x6 pages of recipes.  This is a fun way to try new recipes and get started in scrapbooking.  It's really easy to do, and who know what else you may decide to scrapbook!!!! The first set of recipes in the top left corner are kind of neat. The recipe on the left was ALL done using My Digital Studio. The recipe on the right used the ornament punch flipped upsidedown to make the kisses.

1 Look...2 Ideas

Back in Dec of 2008 I purchased a card kit from demonstrator Aly Schilling for the Crazy with Cupcakes Set.  I finally got to put the cards together.  I did them 2 different ways.  The first was directly copied from Aly. 

This 2nd set I changed up the colors so that they would match the box and cards I posted about yesterday.  I like how they turned out in the pink/brown combo.  What do you think?

Birthday Cupcake and Cards!!!!

  This was a class I purchased awhile back from Andrea  It came with directions for the box and 4 cards (#'s 1-4).  I then used a card class from Aly Schilling to design the other 4 cards.  Check back tomorrow for the cards I copied but changed the colors on.

Totally CASEd Workshop....

On June 7th my friends Liz and Nancy had a workshop for me.  We had about 10 ladies attend and the projects below ate what I did for the workshop.

I wanted to show off the new Triple Layer Blossom punch and I wanted a simple card to showcase the wonderful punch.  My upline Tammy Fite (click on her name to check out her website) came up with the card on the left. Mine is the one on the right and everyone knows I don't like plain white cards but this was a fun card that I knew I could CASE(copy and steal everything). I added a Tempting Turquoise 4 1/4x5 1/2" piece behind the white and made the white card 5 1/2"x8" scored at 4.

The next card I borrowed from Becky Roberts (click on her name to check out her website). I wanted to show off the new Beyond the Garden DSP and teach a technique at the same time.  I copied Becky by dry embossing on our 5/8" satin ribbon.  I think black adds a touch of class to everything. You can run the ribbon through an embossing folder and have the image appear on it. For the embossing I used the framed tulips folder.  Becky's on the left turned out much better then mine on the right.  I think I might spray starch it a little next time to get a better image.

And the last card I did I found in our monthly demonstrator Stampin Success magazine. I loved how Gina (click on her name to check out her website) used the lattice embossing folder to add some elegeance to her wedding card.  I needed a Father's Day card for this workshop so I turned it into the card you see on the right.  Colors used were Basic Black, very Vanilla and Baja Breeze.

Designer Journal!!!!

  My upline Tammy Fite designed these for a craft fair last fall and also gave them to us for Christmas.  It was a plain Tempting Turquoise journal that she picked up for a $1.00 in a bin at a craft store.  She then proceeded to decorate it with the Circle Circus stamp set stamped in Daffodil, Mambo and Turquoise on white cardstock,then layered on a Daffodil and then Mambo square of cardstock. To finish it off she add some bling and some Daffodil Ribbon.   This just screamed summer to me and I know I'll use it a bunch to write in this summer.  Thanks Tammy.  You don't always have to design from scratch, you can purchase items and embellish to make cool new items.
