It's never to early to think about CHRISTMAS in my opinion. This was a card I made at a workshop for my friend Marta that was held last week. She wanted to see some vintage ideas and this was one of 2 I came up with. In searching the internet and you tube to find directions for the Lattice Fold card I didn't find much and what I did find was a bit confusing. I wanted to teach this technique to 20 women and I wanted to make it easy.
This is what I did... I made a template.
STEP 1 Cut a piece of cardstock 3/4" by 5 1/2"
STEP 2 Mark one end of it TOP. On the left side of template(A) measure down 1" and then make a mark every 3/8" (You'll make 10)
STEP 3 On the right edge of template(B) start at the top and measure down 3/8" and make a mark every 3/8" (You'll make 10)
STEP 4 Once marks have been made draw lines from top most mark on right to top most mark on left. Do this all the way down so that you have solid lines to cut on later.
STEP 5 Attach (with a removeable adhesive at top and bottom - I used glue dots)template to back of card on the left side of score line. Fold card in half and cut on all the lines drawn from STEP 4...just through the template. The template will fall away as you cut.
STEP 6 Open card back up and fold down every other cut mark. Don't force to bottom of cut just fold where it wants to naturally.
Off to work now, but I'd love to see your samples. Send them or questions to me at [email protected]
Until Tomorrow....Stampin in the SON!!!! jenni
