One of my customers saw this really cool card someone made for a swap at convention and wanted to learn how to do this. I told her we would make the card at our next workshop. The only info on the back of the card was Faux Cloisonne so I went and checked out one of my favorite websites to see if I could figure it out. It looks quite difficult but in reality it was super easy.
STEP 1= Choose a colorful magazine page or add that you like that is glossy.
STEP 2 = Choose an embossing powder and a color of pigment ink. In this case I chose SILVER!
STEP 3 = Next choose an open image stamp set. My choice was Flower Fancy for this project.
STEP 4 = Stamp image in pigment ink and then cover with embossing powder.STEP 5= Emboss and cut out images.
Step 6= Choose colors and design layout. My colors were Daffodil and Poppy. I then sponged in Expresso.
Did you notice the flowers I cut out were not the ones I used on the completed. Good eye. In order to make this into a tutorial I had to photograph the steps leading up to the finished project.
My finished Projects looked like this. It was really super easy!!! And they look oh so nice when done!!!!
Wanna learn cool techniques like this! Email me at [email protected] to schedule your fall workshop!!!!
