STAMPIN in the SON !!!!!

Caught in the ACT!!!!

Every year at convention I hold our spot for the general sessions by holding up a big yellow umbrella with tulips on it so our gotStamps groups can find us.  This year during one of the general sessions we were there fairly early.  Before the general sessions starts Stampin Up plays a lot of upbeat music.  Here I was dancing to Shania Twains "Feel like a Women" (???) I was bouncing up and down and twirling my umbrella and my act got caught on the big screen for all 2800+ to see.

What a blast we had last week.  You're so gonna want to be there next year!!  We always have such a good time!!!  Email me at [email protected] to host a workshop or become part of the gotStamps team!!!!

Game Show Qualifiying!!!

Every year at convention Stampin Up has a game show that allow demonstrators to compete for fun prizes and Stampin Up catalog shopping sprees. Who wouldn't wanna play. Usually the game contestants are randomly selected from convention attendees. This year we had to qualify to play.  In the past we've played: Win,Lose or Draw - Family Feud and games like that.  This year it was SU's very own version of Minute to Win It.  Here me and my friend Karen are trying to qualify by stacking cups in under a minute.!!! The SU rep who was qualifying me told me my time was the 2nd fastest he'd seen all night!!! ;o) Unfortunately, I wasn't fast enough to qualify, but it was a lot of fun trying.!!!

OMG!!! It was so much FUN!!!

Last week was such a blast.  Sorry I didn't post.  I was having such a great time at convention that I forgot/didn't have time to post for you.  Imagine spending time with 2700+ people who love the same thing you do. STAMPING!!!! The energy and excitement and fun at convention is a blast!!!  YOU just gotta come with me next year to experience it for yourself.  Check out the pictures below.

Here we are EAGERLY awaiting to get into the convention center to get our convention bags and goodies at Momento Mall!!! This was the line to get in the doors. It wrapped pretty much around the convention center. The four ladies in the picture are part of our gotStamps group I went with!!!

These lovely ladies are Sharon, Leslie, Susan and Karen. We entered the convention center back to the right (in this pic) by the building.

Here we are all on our way to lunch after a GREAT morning session!!!

I'M BACK!!!

I've been absentee for the last 2 weeks and I wanted to apologize.  I've been super super busy. The first week I was prepping to go to Salt Lake for a Stampin Up a Convention with a few of my friends.  I needed to make a bunch of SWAPS to use to share ideas with (2700+) other ladies so I could swap my ideas to get their ideas. Last week I was in Salt Lake swapping and having a great time.Here are just a few of the things I took with me to SWAP.

Even More Shoebox Swap Cards

These are the last 2 swaps from my one shoebox swap in June.  I'm not a big neutrals fan but I'm liking the way Marti designed this and I may need to buy the set now!!!  I hate when that happens!!

I have the MDS file for this set but I don't have the actual set.  I may have to use My Digital Studio to design some more simple fun cards like this!!!  Thanks for the idea Heather.

More Shoebox Swap Cards

   
This card was designed by my friend Leilani.  She used one of the decor element stencils and had us sponge the card. We then ran it through the Big Shot to dry emboss.  I like this technique but don't own any stencils yet!!  They're next on my wish list I think.!!

Shoebox Swap Cards

 Back in June I participated in 2 local shoebox swaps.  These were some of the cards designed by my fellow demonstrators. Using new sets and products was the challenge.  I think we succeeded.
