These cards were designed by the gotStamps group ladies and my friend Linda Lewis. I thought I'd put them out there as ideas to be used for cards for that special man in our lives. DAD!!!!!

I was getting ready for a class, just last week, when I came out to the living room to find this.
"Stinker" just has to be in the middle of everything. AND yes that's how she got her name. We really do call her Stinker.

I am not blessed with children like most of you. This past weekend while I was at work we had a local pet bird Expo. My hubbie has always wanted this type of bird and Sunday she came home. She was rescued from a bad situation and being the big softy (since hubbie was also adopted) he couldn't let this poor bird suffer an unknown fate. Please welcome the newest member of our family.
She now joins the rest of our flock!!!! See pic below.

This was a card I used for a swap a few posts down. I also showed my customers how to make it the other night at a workshop.
Ingredients: CS: Basic Black-Basic Gray-Whisper White-Lovely Lilac-Cameo Coral...STAMPS: Sanded Backgrnd- Favorite Thoughts(Summer Mini pg 19)... PUNCHES: Ornament and Scallop Circle... SIZZIX:Sweetest Stem Embosslit -Scribbles ans Swirls
DIRECTIONS for FLOWERS 1) Punch out 3 scallop circles in 2 different colors. 2)Run them through your crimper 10-12 times. 3) Crumple up all 6 scallops in small little balls and roll around in your hands. 4) Open up scallops and look at edges. 5)If starting to separate pull each scallop apart into 2 pieces. if not roll around in hand some more and try again. 6) You should now have a total of 12 scallops from the 6 pieces. Take 6 of one color and layer them back on top of each other. You will want to layer them offset from each one so that the petals don't line up. 7) Once this is done pierce the center of all scallops with a paper piercer. 8) Use a brad to secure all pieces of scallop together. 9) Now all that is left is bunching up each of the six layers around the brad until you are happy with how it looks 10) Punch an ornament in black and cut off bottom. 11)Arrange vase, stems and flowers as you wish.

I had a really good time doing a workshop for some of my friends last night. About 15 ladies I know from church. This group is always such fun to show things to!!! This is one of the projects I showed. The card on the right was designed by my up-up-upline Susan Legits. I made the card on the left to use up some of the retiring colors of cardstock I had in my stash. For some odd reason I have 3 packs of Barely Banana 12 x 12 and I thought I could use it up. ;o)
Ingredients: STAMPS: Upsy Daisy - Sincere Salutations - Itty Bitty Backgrounds.... CARDSTOCK: Mellow Moss/Barely Banana(card base) - Ballet Blue - Whisper White. INK: Basic Black -Versamark
OTHER: Mellow Moss Ribbon - Pastel Chalks
DIRECTIONS 1) Stamp CS base with Itty Bitty Backgrounds and Versamark. 2) Stamp wording of choice in lower right using basic black ink. 3) Layer Ballet Blue to either Banana or Moss CS. 4) Using Versamark and the Upsy Daisy Stamp, stamp image onto white cardstock. 5) Use pastel color of your choice Dab it onto the versamarked image on white stamped paper. 6) After you have dabbed color where you want take your dabber and now rub in a circular motion to make image pop. 7) Do this with as many different colors as you'd like. Rubbing helps to set the pastels. If you want to set it more, spray with a hairspray. Use areasol not a pump hairspray.

These flowers started out as 2 1.25" x 11" strips of paper that I punched with an eyelet border punch. I then sponged with ink on the tips to give a little color. The video for this can be found on fellow demonstrator Patty Bennett's site here.
