Spring is in the Air!!!

I've been trying to use up some of my retired Stampin Up products lately.  It was warm and sunny in New Mexico but extremely windy.  I got to thinking about Spring and how this year I will be able to enjoy it.  Last yr. I was couch bound from Feb- June because of my car accident. This year I'm going to enjoy it fully.  I've created two SB pages with a SPRING theme below for you to enjoy.

   

Page on LEFT = Stamp-Ink-Paper only
Ingredients = CS: Only Orange and Whisper White... Stamp Set: Fresh Flowers and ? on the word Friends... Inks: Only Orange

Page on RIGHT   Ingredients = CS: Barely Banana - Lavender Lace - Mellow Moss - Whisper White... Stamp Set:  In Full Bloom... Inks: Lavender Lace...Other: Simply Scrappin Kit In Full Bloom

SNOWY FUN

Is going to be the title of these pages as soon as soon as I find some spare time. We got to go home and surprise my family at Christmas.  We arrived, and not 10 minutes after getting to Chicago it snowed for almost 3 days.  Haven't had time to develop the photos for this layout but you get the idea!!!

  

 
INGREDIENTS   CardStock: Night of Navy - Ballet Blue - Whisper White...  StampSets: Lovely As A Tree and Snowflakes(one of the many we've sold not sure on the name) ... Inks: Bashful Blue - Ballet Blue - Night of Navy - Versamark...  Punches: Large/Small Tags... Other: White Embossing Powder

DIRECTIONS

1. Stamp Lovely As a Tree images onto bottom of white cardstock with versamark ink.  Do this on the bottom of both pages.
2. Dump white embossing powder over images and heat emboss.
3. The page on the left is left as is. I then sponged Night of Navy ink over image to create a night sky effect.
4. The page on the right I used an exacto knife to cut the image out at the top to make a pocket. I stuck tags down inside it. Also sponged it with Night of Navy ink.
5. The rest is self explanatory.

EveryDay Elegance

         Coming March 19-21st  2010

 

CLASS 1 The first class is a Monochromatic Monogram class.  A set of five - 4 ¼” x 5 ½” cards, five - 3” x 3” love notes and a coordinating folder and pen.  These projects are created with bold graphic colors and elegant baroque patterns.  You will find that you will be able to use these templates and card patterns to recreate these projects in many color palates, styles and themes.

CLASS 2  Add a touch of elegance to any occasion with this gorgeous set of black and white cards created using the Bride & Groom Specialty Paper & Stampin’ Up!’s Pretties Kit. In this class you’ll create 8 cards in all – four black cards & four white cards – as well as a unique box to hold them!

I’ll also be showing you how our versatile Medallion stamp can add interest and color with the Baby Wipe Technique. Scarf and Box

My up-line Tammy Fite (CHECK OUT HER WEBSITE) had a stamp camp for her down-line demonstrators. We made 3 projects on Sat morning and had a yummy lunch.  My favorite project from the morning was a scarf and gift box to hold it in.

                             



The scarf is silk and was purchased from www.dharmatradingcompany.com

Sets: Vintage Vogue       CS:  Brocade Blue - Rose Red - Whisper White   INK: Rose-Brocade-Olive craft pads     Other: Old Olive 5/8" grosgrain ribbon  Clear Embossng Powder to emboss over the CS after you stamp it with craft ink.

DIRECTIONS for Scarf

1. Stamp image onto scarf using craft ink colors of choice.
2. Let dry .
3. Heat set using an iron on recommended setting for silk.  
4. Hand wash only!!!

DIRECTION for BOX

1.  Cut brocade blue cardstock (CS) to 8" x 11"  
2. Score cardstock at 1" and 7" on the 8" side
3. Score at  1" - 5" - 6" and 10" on the 11" side.
4. At 1" - 5" - 6"and 10" score marks cut up to 1" and 7" score marks on 8"side (see red lines)
   
   



5. Piece box together using sticky strip. 
6. Stamp images onto white card stock with craft ink.
7. Pour clear embossing powder over stamped images and emboss.
8. Piece box top together.
