Metal Die Cut Card

Anne Hayward over at Stamping with Blue Moon Creations Stop on by and say hi!!!)  is our resident expert on all things Big Shot.  She loves to use materials other than paper in her crafting.  Make sure you check out her March 2, 2010 post on how to do these cards.

The one on the left I got at a swap last fall and the one on the right came in the mail at Christmas. Sometime soon I'm gonna try this metal embossing thing. I'll upload the results when I do.  These were made with a Sprite can and a Coke can.  I collect Coke stuff to some degree so my favorite of the two is the one on the right

Flower Fancy Card

I just  LOVE LOVE LOVE the idea of a belly band around a card.  My friend Jen Stull designed this one and I was lucky enough to get it in a swap at our local demonstrator meeting. These aren't my usual colors but they work well for this card and I think it makes it absolutely stunning!

Easter Yum

2-4-6-8 Box in Acetate

This is an oldie but a goodie.  I thought I'd bring it back out for Easter since it's so darn cute.  We made it a couple years ago at a stamp camp.

DIRECTIONS: 1)Cut card stock/acetate to 6 1/2"x 8 1/2" piece.  2)Score at 2, 4, 6, and 8" on the 8 1/2" side. 3)On the 6 1/2" side score at 1 1/2". 4)On the 8 1/2"side cut the score marks up to the 1 1/2" score mark. 5) Fold flaps you just cut in to form bottom of box and use sticky strip to close box bottom. 6)Fill with treat of your choice. 7) Pinch top closed, punch with 1/8"hole punch and tie ribbon through.  You are done!!!!

INGREDIENTS:  CS: Whisper white/Bashful Blue - Stamps: A Good Egg - Ink: Basic Black/White Stazon -  Markers: YoYo Yellow and Only Orange - Other: Corner Rounder/ Bashful Blue Ribbon.

Mini Mailbox.

This mini mailbox holds 2 little Hersey nuggets stacked.  My friend and fellow demo Linda Lewis came up with this. Isn't it just adorable!!!!

Rag Bag Part 2

I LOVE IT!!!!!  The only thing I think I would change on my next bag is making it a little wider. This means that instead of 34 scallop squares I'll need 44 for a complete bag.  I made this bag using the Big Shot and my Scallop Square Die from Sizzix.     Let me know what you think.

Rag Bag Part 1

I thought I'd try my hand at making one of these bags even though I didn't know how to sew when I started this endeavor.  My friend Erica Bass taught me how to sew and really helped me out with this bag.  I am desperately searching for fabric that is purple and black but sadly none seems to exist. I was stuck with pink and black instead ;o)  

 
This was the pattern I chose and of course I wanted it bigger than the 2 x3 row bags I'd seen!!! I don't do anything easy the first time.  Let me know what you think. ALSO if you know where I can find black/purple fabric.  Check back tomorrow for the finished project.
