Punch Your Art Out... Part 1

This last year at Convention one of my friends found a lady who had a book of punch art with about 125 designs in it!!  I love SU! punches and all their versatility.  On and off when the mood strikes me I'm gonna post some of the more fun designs with directions on what punches were used!!  These are the first 2.

FLOWERPOTS - The flowerpots were given to me!  I took white craft ink and mixed with SU! re-inkers until I got a color I liked then painted the pots and sealed with Krylon Spray  The Snowflakes are either from a Sizzix diecut or the felt ones that were in the holiday mini. I just attached with 2-Way glue.  I put sucker sticks into peppermint patties and then attached my punched out designs to the peppermints

   

#1=  Scallop Circle Punch - Boho Blossoms Punch - Scallop Square Punch - and Circle punches in various sizes that we sell

#2= Round Tab - Large/Small Oval - 1 1/4" circle - Trio Heart punch  = To make the purse handle punch out the small oval first and with the remaining hole punch the large oval on top of that hole.  You'll be left with a ring.

New Sets....

Made these cards the other night at a group get together.  I wasn't a real big fan of the Just Buzzin By Set or the Good Friend Set but these adorable cards make me want both sets NOW!!! I hate when that happens! ;o)

       

I'm already thinking SPRING and Winter has barely begun!! ;o)

Christmas in Jan!!!

Last night my upline had a group meeting and we finally had our Christmas party. It was postponed in December because of snow.  And we all  know what I think about snow! See my earlier post in Jan.  Anyway for the past 7 years I've been a SU! demonstrator and I hang out with 2 groups of local demos. Every month for the past 7 years I've done a swap or 2. We  usually vote on the best card.  This was my card for the swap!!

    

Supplies  SET: Love You Much - Holidays and Wishes   INKS: Riding Hood Red- Choc Chip   DSP: Bella Rose - Candy Lane   CS: Pink Pirouette - Riding Hood Red - Whisper White    OTHER: Trio Heart Punch

Directions  1) Cut CS to 4 1/4" x 11" score at 1" - 2" - 3" - 4" and 7 1/2"  2) Fold  CS on those score lines and embellish as desired.

I finally WON!!! Cards were voted on by my fellow peers and they picked me!!! This is the gift Tammy designed and had for the winner!!! I LOVE IT!!!

  The candy jar was designed with rub-ons and Decor Elements.  Check out the Decor Elements by clicking the New Decor Elements Catalog in the right column.  The pad of paper was a perk my upline was able to purchase when she went to Leadership in early Jan.

I also typed in SCS search 1)TLC190 and 2)stair step card. 2 Different searches. On the splitcoast home page under Member Companies in the right column are current conversation topics one of the bullet points is Weekly Challenges. That's what the TLC190 is (technique lovers challenge), a challenge on SCS.

Directly from SCS  (this was when I typed in TLC190 to the gallery search)  I looked at the 2nd and 3rd threads.

I really just looked at the card and figured out my own directions to make it.  I wanted to be able to do 2 cards per sheet of CS and make it feasible for showing at a workshop.  Hope this is what you are looking for.  I didn't see a step-by-step w/ pics layout anywhere. SORRY!!!!

Under the Stars...Yummy

I love Shoebox Swaps!! I participated in another one on Tuesday night and this was a card my friend Jen Stull did and brought to show us!! I may just have to buy this set now!!! We've had this set for awhile(pg 103 in current catalog.) but there really haven't been any cards samples I've seen that make me want the set.  THIS ONE DOES!!! Thanks alot Jen!!!! ;o)

Valentine...Love You Much

I finally got my Love You Much Bundle on Friday and this is one of the cards I came up with.  If you look back to my Jan 9th post this card idea came from Cindy. I love snowflakes and she did a similiar card using snowflakes. I needed an idea for a swap I'm participating in tonight with some local demonstrators.  Once I figured out a design it only took about 10 minutes to put together.  Here's what I did!!!!

Supplies:  SETS: Love You Much - Holiday Wishes     CS: Basic Black-Real Red-Pretty in Pink-Glossy White   INK: Regal Rose(sponged) - Real Red(stamped images)  OTHER: Trio Heart Punch - Red Marker to color on stamps to aide in bird separation.

I made two different masks using my cutter and my coluzzle. The rectangle mask is 3/4" inch in from whatever size your cardstock is, on all four sides.  The oval is using the coluzzle and it is the biggest oval used for the size of your paper.  I then sponged in a lighter color ink(Regal Rose) and stamped with the darker color.
